Star Trek “Pike” series a go at CBS ALL ACCESS

Great news for fans of the trio of guest stars of last season’s epic season of Star Trek: Discovery. CBS ALL ACCESS as greenlit the new series, that will be called Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, that will feature the characters of Captain Pike (played by Anson Mount), Spock (played by Ethan Peck) and Number One (played by Rebecca Romijin).  The new adventures of the Starship Enterprise will take place 10 years before Captain Kirk takes the helm.

“When we said we heard the fans’ outpouring of love for Pike, Number One, and Spock when they boarded Star Trek: Discovery last season, we meant it,” Kurtzman said in a statement. “These iconic characters have a deep history in Star Trek canon, yet so much of their stories have yet to be told. With Akiva and Henry at the helm, the Enterprise, its crew and its fans are in for an extraordinary journey to new frontiers in the Star Trek universe.”

“This is a dream come true, literally,” added Goldsman. “I have imagined myself on the bridge of the Enterprise since the early 1970s. I’m honored to be a part of this continuing journey along with Alex, Henry, and the fine folks at CBS.”

The news comes as no surprise, even the cast members themselves were rooting for a series. No word yet on when filming will begin, but we can except it to be launched after the “Section 31” series, starring Michelle Yeoh.

Fans are still wondering when Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery will begin, since Star Trek: Picard as ended a while ago.

Other fans await to have other past favorites. In conversation with Nana Visitor, when asked if she would be willing to appear on Star Trek: Picard, she replied “Off course. She’d be up to all kinds of interesting stuff ?
