The episode begins with a son and father getting out of a restaurant, and they are mugged by a masked man, who beats up the son and kills the father. Jane later finds the gun in a drug addict who died of overdose. The curious part of this is that the heroine was 80% pure. They discover residue of a nail salon on the fathers shoes, but son denies his father ever went there. After the son releases himself from the hospital early, Jane and the gang follow him to a container shipment. Maura discovers that the rats in the shipment container died of overdose from pure heroine. Turns out the son’s family was kidnapped demanding 2 millions dollars.
