The episode begins with a women being brutally attacked in her car. Jane and Maura are called to the scene but find only the strapped car, no body. They discover she worked at the docks and when they arrive, they find her body, with a ice pick in her chest. A signature of Maura’s criminal biological father. Later on he breaks into Maura’s apartment and needs a bullet removed. She is forced to tell Tommy that he his her father. He then tells Maura he does not hurt women or children and that he his being framed. The evidence proves this, but he still manages to escape.
