The episode begins with a woman being burned at the stake. Jane and Maura investigate and discover that a buyer wanted to give her millions for her land, and she refused. They are later surprised when she names in her will three random people. Turns out they are a witch coven and they believe magic is real. After a seances with the deceased reveals the killer is close, Jane is not convinced. One of the witches is attacked at the witch store and they believe the male witch is the one responsible. They go to his appartment to find him dead. It is revealed that the youngest witch as a mental condition and she is caught trying to burn the last witch. In the meantime, Frankie’s ex comes to town and announces he has a seven year old daughter. Jane is not convinced and has a parternity test done.
