The episode begins when Jane’s mother has car trouble. Maura is mesmerized by the mechanic, Giovanni, but Jane warns her not to go there. Of course she does, and after a disaster of a first date, he cannot get enough of her. A murder and rape in the middle of a navy leave week arises many questions when one of their own is accused of the crime. Frost’ father comes to his son as Admiral and demands his navy man be released. We learn after there is a second victim, that survived. The Admiral had the navy man released, but placed on the boats brig. The second victim lives long enough to give Jane and Maura clues. They soon discover that the man was posing as a navy. At the end of the episode, in a last ditch effort to rid Giovanni from Maura’s life, they make him believe that they are in a relationship.
