Last summer, Ruby Rose surprised everyone by announcing that she was not returning to the show. This put some doing, but they created a new character to take over the Batwoman costume. Javicia Leslie took on the role of Ryan Wilder.
Fans believed that it would be a while before we see her again, but the latest episode revealed that she will return, in the form of actress Wallis Day (Krypton). The show also revealed that the bandaged women seen in the latest episode will explain her new look. However, it is clear that Javicia will not be leaving the show anytime soon. One theory is that Kate Kane will suffer memory loss and not remember that she was Batwoman, or will not want to take the role back.
