Clark Kent arrives in Metropolis determined to have a job at the Daily Planet. His first interview with Perry White does not go so well. He is also seen a few times saving people. He asks his mother to create a custom. Meanwhile, Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher) receives a package from what appears to be a deranged employee that claims that the launch of a space shuttle was sabotaged. When it is confirmed to be, Lois takes an interest in what is going on. She also is interested in fetching the first interview with Lex Luthor. She goes to dinner with him, and he makes it clear that he is interested in her. After they found who was behind the cover up, the launch is rescheduled, and Lois infiltrates it. Only to realize there was a bomb again. A costumed Clark Kent comes to a shocked Lois and brings her back to the Daily Planet. She names him Superman.
