In the fourth episode of season 10 of Law & Order SVU a dead woman floating in a river missing her hands bring Olivia and Stabler to investigate a possible rape and murder. Once the woman is identified as an astronaut, Stabler reunites with an old friend, who happens to also be an astronaut. He seems to help the investigation, and manages to get the only eye witness shot in the precinct. Stabler realizes that his old mentor was the one that murdered the young astronaut due to his jealousy.
