Chicago Fire | Season 1 | Episode 10 “Merry Christmas, etc.” recap

In Chicago Fire, Season 1, Episode 10, “Merry Christmas, etc.,” Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) has a nightmare about his brother, Leon (Jeff Lima), being murdered for not repaying the $10,000 he owes. Despite Joe’s efforts to reason with Leon, he refuses to listen. Meanwhile, during a call, the crew deals with a small kitchen fire, but the homeowner later accuses them of stealing a $50,000 diamond necklace. This accusation prompts an investigation, much to the frustration of Casey (Jesse Spencer). Boden (Eamonn Walker) urges Casey to put his feelings aside about the lieutenant in charge of the investigation, emphasizing what’s at stake.

Otis (Yuri Sardarov) shows Casey an article that suggests the woman accusing them might be committing insurance fraud by selling her art collection. Meanwhile, Gabby (Monica Raymund) gathers the courage to invite Casey to a family event. Elsewhere, Boden informs Gabby and Shay (Lauren German) that four vials of a specific medication are missing from their kit—ones that Shay had given to Severide (Taylor Kinney) for pain relief.
