Katey Sagal’s Rebel is a success

Katey Sagal stars in a new ABC show called Rebel, based on the life of Erin Brockovich, who is an activist and fights for the little people. The series has an impressive list of guest stars, notably Mary McDonnell (Major Crimes, Battlestar Galactica) and play Helen on the show. She and her daughter have a defective heart valve that the company issuing them is refusing to do anything about. Rebel as many ex-husbands and even more children, so navigating into that is a little complex. Her daughter Cassidy works for on of Rebel’s exes at his law firms. She grows tired of Rebel referring her bro-bono cases so she goes to work for her father, another of Rebel’s exes, as a corporate lawyer. Her son, Nate, is a gynecologist that is pressured into doing research on the defective valves, however the cardio expert he needs his someone he slept with and then ghosted. The series is fun, and the cast works well together.
